Mike Perry’s promotion makes six-figure fight offer to Darren Till to settle longtime feud

[ad_1]

Mike Perry remains in hot pursuit of a long-awaited showdown with Darren Till.

Bare Knuckle FC superstar Mike Perry and former UFC star Darren Till have teased a potential fight for years, stemming from their time under the same UFC promotional banner. As summer quickly approaches, Perry vs. Till is closer than ever to coming to fruition.

Perry is without an opponent for his next BKFC fight, although he’s in rumored talks to face a UFC Hall of Famer later this year. Meanwhile, Till is pondering his combat sports options after finishing Misfits Boxing standout Anthony Taylor earlier this year.

Perry and Till have repeatedly accused the other of being the biggest speed bump to making a fight become a reality. But despite the uncertainty of their next fights, a potential matchup hit a new chapter this week.

Mike Perry vs. Darren Till revisited in surprise offer

Aside from his BKFC success, Perry introduced a new form of fighting, Dirty Boxing, via his Dirty Boxing Championship promotion. DBC’s early events have featured the likes of Yoel Romero and Andrei Arlovski, and garnered the part-ownership of Jon Jones.

Perry presented a solution to the repeatedly failed fight negotiations to Till in a way you might not expect.

In a recent post to X, the Dirty Boxing Championship made Till an enticing fight offer.

“Alright [Darren Till], if you’re serious about fighting [Mike Perry], here’s your shot…” the promotion said in a statement. “We’re officially offering you $350,000 to step into the Dirty Boxing ring and face the Chief Violence Officer himself.

“Are you ready to take it?”

As of this writing, Till hasn’t responded to DBC’s offer. Since the Taylor fight, negotiations regarding Till’s next fight haven’t been reported, nor whether it’ll take place in boxing or MMA.

Mike Perry accused Darren Till of turning down a $2 million fight

Perry turned heads when he accused Till earlier this year of turning down a $2 million offer from BKFC to fight in the ring. Till quickly denied those claims, accusing Perry and his team of thwarting a potential booking.

Perry hasn’t fought in BKFC since defeating Thiago Alves at Knucklemania IV last April. He then pursued a professional boxing match with Jake Paul, losing by TKO after filling in on short-notice for heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Perry recently offered former NFL receiver Chad Ochocinco to fight in DBC, although it’s uncertain if he’s accepted it. In addition to his BKFC aspirations, Perry hasn’t ruled out headlining future events in DBC.

The Perry/Till feud started after Till’s UFC win over Donald Cerrone in October 2017. During Till’s post-fight interview, a cageside Perry confronted Till, as the two exchanged heated remarks as security personnel intervened.

Eight years later, and Perry vs. Till seems closer than ever to getting finalized, and we could see clarity in their rivalry later in 2025.

Colby Covington’s longtime rival praises Paddy Pimblett for how he handled viral UFC 314 altercation

[ad_1]

Paddy Pimblett drew rave reviews from one of Colby Covington’s enemies after their UFC 314 run-in.

UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett earned the biggest win of his career at UFC 314 last Saturday in Miami. He finished Michael Chandler inside three rounds, and left the fellow UFC fan favorite battered and bloodied in the Octagon as he continued his ascent up the rankings.

Pimblett’s stock has never been higher in his UFC career after defeating Chandler. He called out a slew of top contenders after his UFC 314 victory, including former titleholders Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira.

As Pimblett basked in the glory of his victory, he came face-to-face with Colby Covington, who had traded barbs with him for weeks.

Tensions boiled over between Pimblett and Covington backstage at UFC 314. In a clip you can watch below, security personnel separated Pimblett and Covington before any physical altercation could’ve played out.

One of Covington’s longtime foes believes Pimblett handled the former title challenger’s verbal assault perfectly.

During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Ian Machado Garry reacted to the Covington/Pimblett altercation.

“Firstly, [Colby] just chats out of his a–, and Paddy said it perfectly at the press conference. Mr. Irrelevant, just trying to stay relevant,” Garry said of Pimblett.

“The guy’s been running for so long, he doesn’t want to fight, he’s not a fighter at heart. He’ll do anything he possibly can to pick on the guy with the biggest potential or the biggest star, go after him to try to get some clout.

“I think Paddy dealt with it like a professional, and I think Paddy looked amazing, came out in that fight, with the biggest performance of his life,” Garry continued. “Did everything right, and I think having someone come up and shout at you and try to tear you down from that moment, it’s really low. And I think Paddy dealt with it very, very well.”

Garry and Covington were briefly linked to a potential clash last year ahead of UFC 303, but the fight didn’t come to fruition. Garry went on to defeat Michael ‘Venom’ Page at UFC 303, while Covington lost to Joaquin Buckley in his most recent fight at UFC Tampa in December.

Garry has since turned the page on potentially facing Covington in the Octagon. He’s set to face Carlos Prates later this month at UFC Kansas City, as he looks to avenge his first-career loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310.

Ian Machado Garry reignites Colby Covington beef ahead of UFC Kansas City return

Pimblett and Covington crossed paths at a Power Slap event last month, but the two sides were tranquil towards each other while in attendance. That has since changed, as Covington ramped up trash talk and ‘fraud’ allegations towards Pimblett.

Pimblett teased welterweight matchups with Conor McGregor and Covington last year, but neither fight came to fruition. McGregor recently lost out on $500,000 thanks to Pimblett’s win at UFC 314.

While the ship might’ve sailed on Garry vs. Covington coming to fruition, their feud remains as heated as ever. As for Pimblett, his feud with Covington is just getting started.

Paddy Pimblett hosted a private yacht dance party after dominant win at UFC 314

[ad_1]

Paddy Pimblett enjoyed the fruits of his labor after a dominant performance at UFC 314.

UFC lightweight star Paddy Pimblett‘s stock is at an all-time high following his career-best victory at UFC 314 last Saturday in Miami. He brutalized Michael Chandler for as long as the fight lasted, before eventually finishing him with vicious ground-and-pound in Round 3.

Pimblett remains unbeaten in his UFC tenure with his bonus-winning performance at UFC 314. In what many believed was the toughest test of his combat sports career, Pimblett passed the exam with flying colors.

After another electric walkout to the Octagon, followed by another stunning finish, Pimblett is basking in his growing spotlight as he nears a potential lightweight title shot.

Paddy Pimblett celebrates on a private yacht in Miami after UFC 314

Pimblett’s momentum continues after UFC 314, following recent wins over Tony Ferguson, King Green, and Jared Gordon. After his controversial win over Gordon at UFC 282, some questioned whether or not Pimblett’s immense hype was warranted, but he silenced his doubters against Chandler.

Pimblett’s skill set can’t be questioned after UFC 314. Similar to Conor McGregor‘s meteoric rise, Pimblett’s climb into the lightweight title mix is seldom seen in modern MMA.

Pimblett’s massive accomplishment at UFC 314 prompted a big party with his family, friends, and supporters in Miami. As shared by Pimblett’s manager Graham Boylan, Pimblett and his inner circle celebrated with a private yacht dance party after UFC 314.

Paddy Pimblett spoiled Conor McGregor’s big gamble at UFC 314

As Pimblett added to his win column, he handed McGregor a massive financial loss with his performance at UFC 314. After placing a $500,000 bet on Chandler to beat Pimblett, McGregor suffered a six-figure loss on the fight result.

Despite his big gamble falling short at UFC 314, McGregor acknowledged Pimblett’s potential in a recent social media post. But McGregor admitted Pimblett has ‘a way to go’ to earn his full respect and attention.

Pimblett called out the likes of Arman Tsarukyan, Charles Oliveira, and Dustin Poirier after UFC 314. Poirier will compete in what will likely be his final fight in the Octagon this summer against a to-be-determined opponent.

Pimblett notably left out Ilia Topuria from his post-fight callouts ahead of Topuria’s full-time move into the lightweight division. Topuria vacated the featherweight title ahead of UFC 314, which was won by Alexander Volkanovski on Saturday.

Pimblett could meet with the UFC matchmakers soon to schedule his next booking. But for now, Pimblett is enjoying the fruits of his labor outside of the Octagon.

Conor McGregor reacts after losing $500,000 on Paddy Pimblett vs. Michael Chandler result at UFC 314

[ad_1]

UFC superstar Conor McGregor lost a hefty bet on his longtime rival at UFC 314.

Conor McGregor‘s faith in his longtime rival Michael Chandler fell short at UFC 314, as Chandler lost to Paddy Pimblett by third-round TKO in a lopsided defeat. McGregor lost a hefty bet he placed on Chandler due to the fight result.

Chandler’s attempt at getting back into the lightweight title mix fell well short of the mark against the UFC-unbeaten Pimblett last Saturday in Miami. It was a dominant performance from Pimblett, who left Chandler’s face a bloody mess in what was easily his most impressive UFC showing.

McGregor, who hasn’t fought in the UFC Octagon since a loss at UFC 264, kept a keen eye on the proceedings at UFC 314. He and Chandler were supposed to clash at UFC 303 last June before McGregor withdrew due to injury.

Conor McGregor reacts to Michael Chandler’s loss at UFC 314

McGregor predicted Chandler would get the upper hand against Pimblett at UFC 314, so much so that he placed a $500,000 bet on Chandler to walk away with the victory. But after losing out on a hefty bet at UFC 314, McGregor didn’t take long to address Chandler and Pimblett after their co-main event showcase.

In a recent post to X, McGregor broke his silence on Chandler’s loss to Pimblett.

“Chandler you motherf—– you! Rest up, fair play,” McGregor posted. “My history with Mike and the odds on him by KO swayed me to take the risk. My head did say Paddy. He’s improving but with a way to go yet. Although the division is woeful, it is equal, and equal brings good fights. So happy days, ya’s’r welcome.

“Ah well, what’s $500,000 to an M G like me, can you please remind me? More than your purse.

“I’ll get it back I’m sure. In fact, I just did.”

McGregor continues to make headlines after teasing a potential UFC retirement earlier this month despite a long-hinted return to the Octagon. He announced his Irish presidential campaign earlier this year as he explained his newfound passion for making a political impact in his home nation.

Meanwhile, Chandler falls to 2-5 in his UFC tenure, after losing his third consecutive fight at UFC 314. As of this writing, Chandler hasn’t broken his silence on what went wrong against Pimblett.

Paddy Pimblett called out ‘cheeky’ Conor McGregor after UFC 314 victory

After handing McGregor a major financial defeat, Pimblett didn’t take long to address the UFC superstar in his post-fight media availability. Pimblett issued a fiery response to McGregor after the former two-division champion hinted at interest in fighting the winner for a future booking.

Pimblett’s win sets him up for a potential No. 1 contender fight against one of the lightweight elites, including potential matchups with the likes of Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira. Pimblett and Tsarukyan have traded barbs in the media for weeks, stemming from Tsarukyan’s last-second withdrawal at UFC 311.

While McGregor’s fighting career might be over, his interest in MMA and the UFC remains strong, despite paying a big price for betting on Chandler.

Sean Woodson breaks silence on controversial UFC 314 loss after Joe Rogan’s referee criticism

[ad_1]

UFC featherweight Sean Woodson issued his first public remarks since his controversial defeat at UFC 314.

The UFC 314 featherweight undercard bout between Sean Woodson and Dan Ige didn’t disappoint as the two brawlers treated fans to a wild war in Miami. But despite the entertainment value of Woodson vs. Ige, the end of the fight left a bitter taste in many mouths, including Woodson.

Woodson and Ige fought for title contention at UFC 314, looking to make a statement and to draw the attention of Alexander Volkanovski, Yair Rodriguez, and other featherweight winners at UFC 314. The two featherweights went back and forth over the first two rounds as the two brawlers traded big shots early and often.

Round 3 is when the tide began to turn swiftly in Ige’s favor, but not without controversy.

As Ige pressured Woodson midway through Round 3, Woodson attempted a desperate single-leg takedown to pause Ige’s advances. Ige answered with several hammerfists to Woodson, who didn’t defend the strikes but seemed clear-headed in attempting to take down Ige.

Referee Andrew Glenn stepped in to break up the action and handed Ige the TKO victory. Woodson immediately protested the stoppage, and UFC commentators Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier were audibly perplexed by the decision to wave off the fight.

Hours removed from the controversial defeat, Woodson took to social media and turned the page on the abrupt end to his UFC 314 showcase.

In a recent Instagram post, Woodson addressed his following after UFC 314.

“Thankful for this Life. Thankful for these opportunities. Each one , no matter the result is an opportunity to learn and grow as a human being. This is what I live for,” Woodson said. “Adversities to face. Mountains to climb. I’ve sent many men back home sad to their families. I will not go back sad to mine. Disappointed of course but I am Blessed.

“I’ve changed my life thru this sport. Both Beautiful and Brutal, I still Love it with everything in me. Lost a fight , but I’ve Won at Life. Thank you to all my family , friends , fans and team. Your support is much appreciated. I love you all. I’ll be back better I Promise.”

The controversial loss ended Woodson’s seven-fight unbeaten streak, featuring recent wins over Alex Caceres, Fernando Padilla, and Charles Jourdain. The talented boxer is still considered by many to be the ‘boogeyman’ of the featherweight division.

Dana White expresses concern over lack of UFC competition after GFL’s event cancellations

Woodson’s controversial defeat was one of the few blemishes on an otherwise fireworks-filled night at UFC 314, capped off by Volkanovski’s title redemption in the main event. Despite UFC 314’s success, UFC CEO Dana White expressed honest concerns about the lack of promotional competition amidst one of the UFC’s rivals struggling to hit the ground running.

The Global Fight League, ahead of a highly-anticipated headliner between Tony Ferguson and Dillon Danis, canceled several upcoming events before the launch of its inaugural season. As of this writing, it’s uncertain if the GFL will move forward with future cards.

White’s comments come after the UFC signed several top names away from the PFL, including Aaron Pico and UFC 314 debutant Patricio ‘Pitbull’. Pico is expected to make his UFC debut later this summer against a to-be-determined opponent, after a rumored clash with Movsar Evloev didn’t come to fruition.

The UFC is also in active negotiations regarding its next broadcast rights deal, after the exclusive negotiating window with ESPN came and went. The UFC returns with UFC Kansas City next weekend, featuring a headliner between Ian Machado Garry and Carlos Prates.

PFL star Sadibou Sy went viral on ESPN’s SportsCenter with cold spinning wheel kick KO

[ad_1]

2022 PFL welterweight champion Sadibou Sy made SportsCenter’s Top 10 highlights with a wicked knockout.

Sadibou Sy was always known for his electric striking, especially after winning the 2022 PFL welterweight championship and the $1 million grand prize. But as he worked to defend the belt in the 2023 season, he earned the win of his life, which earned him worldwide fame and recognition.

Sy, a top training partner of UFC stars like Sean Strickland and Khamzat Chimaev, returns to the PFL SmartCage this weekend in the opening round of the PFL World Tournament. He’ll face Dalton Rosta for a spot in the semifinals of the league’s new tournament format.

If you blink at the wrong time, you could miss one of Sy’s blistering fast head kicks, as he showcased against Shane Mitchell during the 2023 PFL welterweight season.

Sadibou Sy knocked his opponent unconscious with a spinning wheel kick

Mitchell was considered by many fans and pundits as the ‘dark horse’ of the PFL welterweight division when he faced Sy at 2023 PFL 6. But after a back-and-forth first two rounds of their fight, Sy flattened Mitchell with one of the most brutal head kicks you’ll ever see.

As Mitchell briefly lowered his guard as he pressured Sy against the cage, Sy countered and capitalized on the opening by landing a spinning wheel kick right to Mitchell’s head. Mitchell immediately went unconscious before he landed on the canvas, sending the Atlanta spectators into a frenzy.

Sy’s knockout earned him a spot on ESPN SportsCenter’s ‘Top 10’ later that evening, helping to bring new eyes to the PFL and MMA. The Swede clinched a playoff spot with the win over Mitchell, defeating Carlos Leal in the semifinals before a loss to Magomed Magomedkerimov at the 2023 PFL World Championship.

Sadibou Sy is one of the PFL’s veteran stars after several big names left the SmartCage for the Octagon

Sy is one of the few remaining PFL stars on the league’s roster after a slew of fighters departing for the UFC and other opportunities. Patricio ‘Pitbull’, arguably the greatest fighter in Bellator history, was granted his release from the PFL after a tumultuous dispute with the league brass.

Pitbull made his UFC debut last weekend at UFC 314, losing by unanimous decision to former interim champion Yair Rodriguez. Former Bellator featherweight star Aaron Pico was signed to the promotion earlier this month and is expected to make his promotional debut

Former PFL superstar Kayla Harrison will fight for the UFC women’s bantamweight title at UFC 316 after a 2-0 run in the Octagon. She parted ways with the PFL last year after becoming the face of the league during the earlier stages of her career.

As Sy prepares for his middleweight return this Friday, he’ll fight with a lot to prove as he competes for another PFL championship. Even at 38 years old, it’s best not to doubt Sy’s elite kickboxing.

Drake names one key term needed to settle Kendrick Lamar feud in boxing fight

[ad_1]

Drake would be willing to settle his legendary rap feud with Kendrick Lamar in the boxing ring, but doesn’t want it broadcast.

The two music moguls have had one of the defining beefs of this generation of rap, with diss tracks on either side transcending their rivalry. Drake is known to train boxing, while Kendrick has a limited background in the sport but has been trained before.

Speaking with Adin Ross on a Kick stream, the Canadian was asked about who he would fight if he were to take part in a celebrity boxing match. While he didn’t name Lamar in particular, he laughed at the obviousness of the answer to the question.

Drake wants to fight Kendrick Lamar behind closed doors

During an appearance on a promotional Kick stream for a betting website, Drake was asked by Adin Ross if he would ever take a fight. He asked who would make a good opponent, and within seconds laughed at the idea that there might be any more than one answer.

“Would you ever get in there?” Ross asked, to which Drake replied “No”. Asked what “the bag” would need to be, he stopped himself before even asking who would make sense. “If we were fighting it would be at Hino’s gym or something like that behind closed garage doors.”

The Hino he refers to is Nigerian pro boxer Hino Ehikhamenor, who has trained the Canadian musician in the past. It seems that after the pair both made millions from their rap beef, Drake doesn’t want the fight to make anyone else any money.

Adin Ross told to get out of MMA by UFC boss Dana White

Ross, of course, could only dream of bringing such a monumental fight to life in his new Brand Risk Promotions, which brought influencer MMA to life for the first time on Friday night. He runs the events out of a plush Miami warehouse, with celebrities regularly attending.

He was joined in the commentary booth on Friday night by UFC boss Dana White and his right hand man Hunter Campbell. The trio joked and seemed to have fun during the live stream, but White was blunt with his advice when asked by the fledgling promoter what he should do.

The UFC CEO and soon-to-be boxing supremo replied that Ross should “stay out of this business, it’s not as easy as it looks”. Ross seemed to take it well, laughing off the idea and telling White that he “might have to go back to boxing.”

Dana White concerned by the lack of competition after UFC 314 breaks more records

[ad_1]

The UFC continues to showcase exactly why it is the premier promotion in MMA after a hugely successful UFC 314 event in Miami on Saturday.

On Saturday, the UFC returned to Miami for UFC 314, which was a stacked fight card from top to bottom, headlined by a featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes.

The co-main event also pitted two of the promotion’s biggest stars together, in Paddy Pimblett vs Michael Chandler, as Pimblett went on to pick up the biggest win of his career.

Outside of the top two fights, the fight card also included several more high quality fights, showcasing why the UFC is the premier MMA promotion.

White concerned by lack of MMA competition following UFC 314

UFC boss, Dana White reacted to the biggest talking points from the event during the post-fight press conference but also expressed his concerns with the lack of competition to the UFC.

The attendance for UFC 314 from the Kaseya Center in Miami was over 18,000 which equaled a gate of $11.5m and the UFC now holds the number one, two, and three spots for the highest gate record of all time at the Kaseya Center.

This event came just days after a new rival promotion, GFL canceled their two debut events scheduled for May due to a lack of funding.

Bellator and the PFL have seemingly long been the number two promotion in the sport, however, fans have grown tired with their product over the last few years.

Although that may seem like extremely good news for the UFC, White believes competition is very much needed for the landscape of the sport to flourish.

“Yeah (it’s concerning), I don’t know enough about the GFL to really speak on it but yeah, it’s a lot harder than it looks, it’s a lot harder than it looks,” White stated at the post-fight press conference.

“(I pay no attention to it), that’s why I don’t know a lot about it, literally none. Obviously, anywhere these guys can go and make money, either on their way up or on their way down, it’s a great thing, but I don’t pay any attention to any of that stuff anymore,” White continued.

The UFC could undergo huge change this Tuesday

The timing of UFC 314 and it being such a spectacular event arguably couldn’t have come at a better time, as their broadcast deal with ESPN is set to end this coming Tuesday.

Their deal with the broadcasting giant began in 2018 and it began as quite a rocky relationship according to White.

Despite that, they seemingly ironed out all of the issues early on in their relationship. However, recently, fans have lodged several complaints regarding UFC PPV events, claiming that they have faced several issues when attempting to purchase the events.

And with that in mind, with their deal set to end on Tuesday, the UFC could undergo a huge change and a new broadcast partner could be announced.

‘Too many beatings’… Michael Chandler told to retire by UFC legend after Paddy Pimblett loss

[ad_1]

Michael Chandler is at a crossroads after his loss to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 314.

The former three-time Bellator lightweight champion’s career as a top contender appears to be over after he was brutalized en route to a shock third-round knockout loss in Miami, Florida, on Saturday night.

Michael Chandler is riding a three-fight losing streak after falling to 2-5 inside the UFC Octagon.

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping called his latest loss a ‘career killer’ before former dual-weight champion Henry Cejudo went one step further by telling ‘Iron’ to consider walking away from MMA.

Michael Chandler advised to retire by Henry Cejudo

Cejudo is also riding a three-fight losing streak as he prepares to have one final UFC bout.

‘Triple C’ believes Chandler should join him in retirement following his devastating loss at UFC 314.

“I think Chandler should have just one more fight, man. I really do,” Cejudo said on the Pound4Pound podcast he shares with former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. “I think we should retire together, maybe on the same card.

“If I’m Michael Chandler, yeah, I’d retire, bro. That’s too many beatings, dude.

“It’s not even taking L’s, he’s taking elbows to the face, he’s always cut and bloody.

“He’s gonna be beloved by people, but he’s lost all of his fights, and people just forget.”

Michael Chandler’s UFC run…

In September 2021, Chandler obliterated Dan Hooker with left hook to win ‘one of the best UFC debuts ever’.

A lightweight title fight with Charles Oliveira followed. Chandler started extremely well and almost finished ‘Do Bronx in round one, but he ended up getting knocked out at the start of the second frame.

The UFC 314 star bounced back with a sensational front kick KO victory over Tony Ferguson in May 2022.

Since then, the 38-year-old has lost consecutive fights against Dustin Poirier, Oliveira, and Pimblett.

It’s currently unclear what the future holds for Chandler after more than 16 years as an MMA fighter.

Alexander Volkanovski joins Georges St-Pierre in exclusive group of fighters following title UFC 314 win

[ad_1]

Alexander Volkanovski made UFC history on Saturday night at UFC 314, becoming the first fighter over 35 years old to win a title in weight classes 155lbs and below.

Following back-to-back knockout losses to Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria, UFC fans feared that Alexander Volkanovski‘s time at the top of the sport could be over.

Despite that, at UFC 314 on Saturday in Miami, Volkanovski turned back the clock and put on a vintage performance, becoming a two-time UFC featherweight champion after beating Diego Lopes.

The 35-year-old once again had to overcome adversity as he was knocked down early in the fight, and even lost his eye-sight in the later rounds.

Alexander Volkanovski joined exclusive group of fighters with UFC 314 win

‘The Great’ Volkanovski is now just one more title win away from Jose Aldo‘s record of eight title wins in the featherweight division, continuing to move closer to being regarded as the greatest featherweight of all time.

And with his win over the hard-hitting Brazilian at UFC 314, Volkanovski joined an exclusive list of fighters to have lost their title via TKO/KO losses to go on to reclaim their title.

There were nine fighters previously on the list to have completed the feat, including the aforementioned Aldo, Georges St-Pierre, Israel Adesanya, and more.

St-Pierre, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters of all time, shockingly lost his title to huge underdog, Matt Serra, before getting revenge a year later in 2008.

Adesanya made it onto the list after scoring a brutal KO win over Alex Pereira to reclaim his middleweight title after losing to him in 2022.

Heavyweights, Stipe Miocic and Cain Velasquez also make the list, whilst Rose Namajunas, Zhang Weili, and Carla Esparza represent the female divisions on the list.

Alexander Volkanovski’s next title defense could already be set

Immediately after his emotional win over Lopes, Volkanovski was called out by Movsar Evloev, who is undefeated at 19-0.

Before UFC 314, both Volkanovski and Lopes agreed that Evloev is likely next to fight for the title, however, the Australian has worried fans with his update on how quickly he would like to return to fight the Russian.

However, with Aldo’s record now just within touching distance, the 35-year-old wants to defend the title twice before the end of 2025, potentially ending the year as the greatest featherweight fighter of all time.
