Bryce Mitchell has named Conor McGregor as his dream guest for a fishing trip once he gets through with UFC 314.
The controversial featherweight contender faces Jean Silva tomorrow night in a bitter grudge fight that has been built on the back of a series of controversies for the American. Mitchell is known for a number of controversies, as well as his love of fishing and his farm life in Arkansas.
Despite Dana White previously branding him “one of the dumbest human beings”, he also invited the UFC boss on his trip when asked. However, he wouldn’t have a spot for his upcoming opponent Silva if they were to meet.
Bryce Mitchell invites Conor McGregor on fishing trip
During a segment with social media influencer Jon-Bernard Kairouz, Bryce Mitchell was asked about which UFC personalities he would like to go on a fishing trip with. Names mentioned included Alexander Volkanovski and Tesla boss Elon Musk.
But when Conor McGregor came up, he appeared delighted at the prospect, replying: “Absolutely, that’d be my favorite one to go fishing with out of all of them right there. I would love that, brother.”
He was similarly excited about fishing with Dana White, telling Kairouz that while a trip hasn’t happened yet, he ‘would love to’ set up a trip. He even suggested a triple outing with McGregor included, noting ‘there’s room for three’.
Bryce Mitchell and Conor McGregor appear to have a friendship
It seems as though the relationship between Mitchell and McGregor is quite a friendly one, with the pair running into each other during the Presidential inauguration in January. They shared a prayer, and they have both publicly spoken out in defence of the other during controversies.
The legendary two-weight UFC champion has previously referred to the featherweight contender as his “God fearing brother Bryce Mitchell tonight who I know is a good man.”
Both men are wildly controversial with fans for their activities outside of the octagon. As for inside of it, McGregor is arguably no longer a fighter having last competed four years ago against Dustin Poirier.
