Chael Sonnen was left humiliated after 50 Cent made it very clear that he preferred Jon Jones over him.
Throughout his career, the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion has developed a reputation for his villainous persona.
However, on occasion, he can be nice. Jones even gave Tom Aspinall a huge compliment before their rivalry started.
With that in mind, he tried to help his fellow mixed martial artist out during his interaction with the rapper. Alas, in the long run, he only made things worse.
WOW: NFL legend Chad Ochocinco offered world title fight on Jon Jones’ new promotion

Having established himself as one of the greatest fighters of all time, Jon Jones has amassed an enormous fan base, with even 50 Cent in awe of what he’s achieved.
With that in mind, when the artist spotted ‘Bones’ hanging out with Chael Sonnen, he instantly asked the legend for a photo. However, he had no interest in ‘The American Gangster’.
“In an episode of Good Guy / Bad Guy, Sonnen claimed: “50 Cent asked Jon Jones for a picture. I was standing there. Jon included me; Jon recognized the social awkwardness. He’s like, ‘Oh Chael, get over here’.”
While Jones thought he was doing a good deed, it ended up backfiring, with the man, famed for hits like, ‘In da Club’, firing a shot at Sonnen online.
The former world title challenger exclaimed: “So, I jump in there. I know I don’t belong, 50 did not ask me for my picture. 50 puts it out on social media and says, ‘I was happy to meet Jones and the other guy photobombed my picture’.”
Finding the situation hilarious, Daniel Cormier interrupted: “Shut up, Chael.”
Sonnen concluded: “I was so embarrassed, because it’s the truth that hurts. That’s exactly what happened. I knew he didn’t ask me to be there, and I’m just hanging there.
“They’re kind of leaning their heads together, and I’m out. It was awkward. The whole thing was awful.”

With the creative striker top of the heavyweight division, the MMA community is desperate to see him take on Tom Aspinall.
Alas, the American has shown very little interest, and could potentially head in another direction.
