Colby Covington eyes WWE career
Covington’s TKO defeat against Joaquin Buckley in December put him on a three-fight losing streak.
At this point, it appears that the 37-year-old is pretty much done as a serious contender at 170lbs.
Covington seems to have accepted that fact as he recently talked up a new career in a different sport.
“I would probably say like two years,” he said when a fan asked when he’ll transition to the WWE.
“I wanna really start working on my in-ring wrestling and my crowd-pleasing ability in the next year or two.
“Maybe I’ll go up to Orlando and go to the WWE training center. But I really want to start perfecting my craft in the WWE with the wrestling moves and hope that I can make a transition in the next year or two.”
