Conor McGregor has made a bold prediction ahead of the UFC 314 co-main event.
Earlier this week, the former dual-weight UFC champion claimed he is interested in Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett as he teased a return to the Octagon for the first time since breaking his leg in July 2021.
Just hours before the lightweight duo throw down, Conor McGregor clarified his feelings on their fight.
‘Notorious’ has wagered $500,000 on the UFC 314 co-headliner ending in a vicious knockout.

Conor McGregor makes massive UFC 314 bet
Conor McGregor was supposed to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024.
A toe injury forced the Irishman off the card, but their rivalry has continued to simmer ever since.
Still, there appears to be a healthy respect between them, based on McGregor’s pre-fight bet.
He tweeted: “The Notorious is BACK with @Duelbits, baby! I’m callin’ it—Chandler by BRUTAL KO!”
Attached was a video where MMA’s greatest legend provided some insight into his UFC 314 prediction.
“The fight I’m interested in, Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett,” McGregor said.
“I’m gonna go with Michael Chandler to win and win by KO.
“Although Paddy has improved in his last few outings, I still fancy Chandler to do it.”
What’s next for Conor McGregor?
McGregor’s public interest in Chandler vs Pimblett goes against his most recent comeback comments.
The 36-year-old shocked everyone when he made a UFC retirement admission after turning down a fight.
Right now, he is focused on his political career after launching a campaign to become the president of Ireland.
“I’ve got two fights on the contract, I’m in negotiations,” he said when asked about a potential move to the squared circle during a BKFC press conference. “Last week, something happened to me. I went to the White House, and my heart bleeds for my country right now.
“So there’s a lot of stuff going on back home, I’m happy with what I’ve done. There’s something else for me that’s in my gut right now, and that’s kind of where I’m going.
“There was an opportunity or a deal, we’ll say, to fight in Alcatraz only recent. There’s an event going on in Alcatraz in, I believe, June. They came to me, and it wasn’t my worth.
“As a fighter, we’ve got to know our worth. I hold every pay-per-view record in the book, I hold every gate record in the boo,k and my comeback will be slated as the greatest or the biggest, most anticipated comeback of all time.
“So it has to be right. Right now, Ireland is in my thoughts, and that’s where I am, but it will happen, I am sure, and it’s always great to be here at BKFC.”
