Conor McGregor turned his attention to the next big MMA event immediately after UFC 314.
The former dual-weight UFC champion lost $500,000 betting on Michael Chandler to brutally KO Paddy Pimblett, who turned the tables by brutalizing his opponent en route to a third-round stoppage win in Miami on Saturday night.
A day later, Conor McGregor ignored UFC 314 and began targeting the next pay-per-view headliner.
Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad will put his title on the line against Jack Della Maddalena in the main event of UFC 315, which is set to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on May 10.

Conor McGregor recalls Belal Muhammad’s security snub
In December, Shavkat Rakhmonov beat Ian Garry to solidify his 170lb top contender status at UFC 310.
Muhammad, who was sitting cageside, made his way into the Octagon to face off with the 19-0 fighter.
However, ‘Remember The Name’ was initially stopped from doing so by security, who didn’t know who he was.
McGregor found this hilarious, so he shared a voice note of him ripping into Muhammad on social media.
“The security doesn’t know he’s the champ,” McGregor laughed. “Look at the state of this c—. The security doesn’t know he’s the champ? I’m not surprised motherf—–, he is an a–hole that thing.
“Shut your mouth, you little dope, you barely got into the ring, they don’t even know you were the champ you thick. ‘Who the f— is that guy?’ the security said. Ah, stop, man, two a— wipes, yeah.”
It went viral at the time, and it might do so again after McGregor shared this clip again on Sunday.
Muhammad hasn’t responded yet, but he will almost certainly fire back at the insult from MMA’s greatest legend.
What’s next for Conor McGregor?
McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg at UFC 264 in July 2021.
‘Notorious’ recently made a UFC retirement admission while revealing he rejected a comeback offer.
The MMA legend claimed to be focused on his political career after launching a campaign to become the president of Ireland – but since then, he’s expressed an interest in facing the winner of Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett.
‘The Baddy’ insisted he’d love to welcome McGregor back to the sport after beating Chandler.
Only time will tell if McGregor will return to fighting or decide to call time on his historic run.
