Dana White bailed out streamer Adin Ross in a Las Vegas casino to the tune of $630,000 the first time the pair ever met.
UFC supremo White has built a close relationship with Ross and a number of top social media influencers, believing them to be the new wave of media in combat sports. He regularly invites the streamer to sit cageside at events, and is attending his Brand Risk Promotions event tonight.
Tomorrow night, White will place Ross in a seat next to President Donald Trump at UFC 314. Hilariously, it seems their relationship began at a Las Vegas casino where the UFC boss had to bail out the social media star for massive money.
Dana White gave Adin Ross massive $630,000 on first meeting
Adin Ross has never shied away from making his support for Dana White very well known, regularly thanking him for his involvement in key career moments. And in a new interview with Fred Talks Fighting, Ross noted that their friendship kicked off with a massive cash injection.
“Dana has been such a supporter in everything I’ve done,” Ross explained. “When it came to getting a stream with President Trump, when it came to my first time being down $600,000 in a casino.
“He meets me for the first time, he bails me out and gives me $30k… The first time I met Dana White he gave me $630,000, the best impression. He’s a great guy, great human being, the best at what he does, I take notes, I’m a very big fan of what he does, I love Dana.
“It’s great to have somebody like Dana in my life because he really is an amazing human being and really great at what he does. It’s great to take notes from that.”
Adin Ross wants to emulate Dana White’s success in fight promotion
Adin Ross has taken on the fight game in his own right as a promoter, introducing the influencer boxing world to Brand Risk Promotions over the past year. He will run an event tonight in Miami, and has stated he plans to be ‘the next Dana White’.
Asked by MMA Junkie if he would ever fight, Ross said that he prefers the behind the scenes world, saying: “I want to be the next Dana White. I don’t think I’d see myself ever getting in there [to fight].
“My parents wouldn’t let me for one, but for two, I think I’ll promote – I’ll make the fights, I think that’s what I’d do – I don’t think I’d get in there though.”
