Dana White’s fellow UFC boss Hunter Campbell regularly pleads with him to quit gambling millions in Las Vegas casios.
MMA supremo White has been known to bet, and even lose, as much as $3million in a night at the high roller tables in casinos around the famed Nevada city. Meanwhile Campbell, who runs the business with him under the TKO umbrella, believes that he is causing himself ‘unnecessary trauma’ with his runs.
White is a legend in Nevada for his betting, and is known more as a winner than a loser. However, there have been times where he has lost astronomical sums of money on different games including blackjack and others.
Hunter Campbell is not a fan of Dana White’s gambling
Dana White is known as one of Las Vegas’ most prominent gamblers, and generally takes casinos for millions. But he has recorded famous losses including one $3million night that has gone down as the stuff of legend.
Hunter Campbell is not a fan of this lifestyle choice, telling Adin Ross during last night’s Brand Risk Promotions event: “I watch him and literally some days I’ll call him the next morning and say ‘I love you, I feel f—ing sick. I literally went home last night, it was three in the morning and I was physically sick watching what you did to yourself’.
“Even when he wins it’s like unnecessary trauma, I don’t understand. I don’t have that thing in me… I’m going to tell you what it is, it’s like being a fighter; you either are a gambler or you are not a gambler. It’s not about whether or not you have a risk tolerance or you’re a p—-, you either are or you are not.
“If you have that thing in you, which you [Ross] have for sure, and [Dana] has more than any human I’ve ever seen in my entire life, it’s who you are.”
When boxing champion Teofimo Lopez piped up to joke that “when you bet like a b—-, you don’t get rich,” Campbell replied: “I don’t like that, that’s not very smart… You bet like a b—- and you’re already rich? You go home rich still, okay? There’s two ways to look at that.”
Dana White’s choice words for Adin Ross at Brand Risk Promotions event
What Dana White is known for as much as his success with the UFC and other ventures is his ruthlessness in competition. After being faced with a night of Adin Ross’ outlandish product, he warned the influencer to steer clear of the MMA world.
When Ross asked him for advice after finding his first event to feature cage fighting quite hard, White was blunt with his response. He told the Kick streamer to “stay out of this business, it’s not as easy as it looks”.
Hunter Campbell was a little bit more lenient, comparing Ross’ viewership numbers to the UFC’s competitors very favorably. “You have more viewers than I think anybody that’s competing with the UFC does right now,” he noted.
