Henry Cejudo believes he knows who Dustin Poirier will face in his upcoming retirement fight.
‘The Diamond’ hasn’t fought getting choked out by lightweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 302 last June.
Dustin Poirier flirted with retirement before confirming he will return for one final UFC bout.
A likely date and the ‘incredible’ location for the fight have been revealed, but it’s currently unclear who will stand opposite the 40-fight veteran during his last scrap inside the UFC Octagon.

Poirier has been very clear that it’s ‘legends only‘ as he looks for his final UFC opponent.
Coincidentally, Ilia Topura has changed his nickname to ‘La Leyenda’, which translates to ‘The Legend’.
The former featherweight champion recently vacated his title to pursue glory in the lightweight division.
As far as Henry Cejudo is concerned, the weight and name change make Topuria the frontrunner to face Poirier.
“I can see Ilia Topuria vs. Dustin Poirier,” the former dual-weight UFC champion told The Bohnfire podcast.
“Of course, if I think about it, Dustin Poirier did say he’s only fighting legends for his retirement fight, and Ilia Topuria just changed his name to ‘The Legend.’
“We’re probably on to something.”
Dustin Poirier vs Max Holloway 3 leaked
Poirier’s retirement fight opponent was ‘leaked’ by a UFC lightweight contender in March.
Beneil Dariush believes Max Holloway has already had that fight call. The 35-year-old ruled out Poirier and Holloway as potential opponents for his next fight because they are supposed to clash in the near future.
“My understanding is Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway are going to fight,” Dariush told Submission Radio.
“That’s what I’m hearing. I don’t know if it’s 100 percent sealed and done, but that’s what I’m hearing.
It’s been nearly a month since Dariush made those comments, and there’s still no official UFC update.
Fans will just have to wait and see if Poirier faces Topuria, Holloway, or someone else in his retirement bout.
