Mariusz Pudzianowski dived in at the deep end when he transitioned to MMA 16 years ago.
The 48-year-old was crowned ‘World’s Strongest Man’ in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2008.
After taking silver in 2009, he launched a fight career that is still going strong in 2025.
Boxing legend Butterbean suffered a humiliating 75 submission to strikes loss when he came up against Mariusz Pudzianowski, who rebounded in the best way possible after losing to former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia in his third professional fight.

Watch Mariusz Pudzianowski batter Bob Sapp
Pudzianowski had an unflattering 3-2 (1NC) record when he was matched up with MMA icon Bob Sapp.
Sapp KO’d kickboxing phenom in a mismatch gone wrong to prove he was legit at the start of his career in 2002.
However, by the time he fought ‘Pudzian’ 12 years later, he was in the middle of a 14-fight losing streak.
Sapp looked like he just didn’t want to be there as Pudzianowski started dropping bombs from the first bell.
The American turtled up against the ropes and allowed his opponent to easily take him down to the floor.
Once there, Pudzianowski hammered away with punches until the fight was called off after 39 seconds.
What’s next for Mariusz Pudzianowski?
The Polish fan favorite hasn’t fought since suffering a shocking knockout loss in June 2023.
Pudzianowski was stopped by a former heavyweight boxer, Artur Szpilka, who is famous for suffering a bad knockout loss against Deontay Wilder in 2016.
Last month, it was announced that Pudzianowski will return to the cage for a fight with fellow ‘World’s Strongest Man’ Eddie Hall, who will make his MMA debut at KSW 105, which takes place at the Prezero Arena in Gliwice, Poland, on April 26.
Hall had originally called to fight Pudzianowski after winning a bizarre 2vs1 fight last June.
Now the heavyweight duo are set to clash in a fight billed as the ‘strongest’ in MMA history.
