Israel Adesanya bumped into Paddy Pimblett following his big win at UFC 314.

‘The Baddy’ brutalized Michael Chandler en route to a third-round TKO win at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, on Saturday night.

Soon after, Paddy Pimblett found himself in an angry backstage confrontation with Colby Covington.

Things were thankfully much more tame when he met the former UFC middleweight champion.

Israel Adesanya meets Paddy Pimblett after UFC 314 win

Israel Adesanya congratulated the Englishman during a wholesome backstage run-in caught on camera.

‘The Last Stylebender’ also seemed to admit that he doubted Pimblett heading into the UFC 314 co-main event.

“Congrats,” Adesanya said while sharing a handshake with the surging lightweight contender.

He added: “I’m gonna stop counting you out.”

Pimblett laughed at Adesanya’s honesty before they UFC duo embraced and went their separate ways.

What’s next for Israel Adesanya?

Israel Adesanya suffered a third straight loss against Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Saudi Arabia in February.

That fight followed back-to-back defeats in 185lb title fights with Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis.

Some fans are saying Adesanya is washed, but the 35-year-old has no interest in retiring right now.

A comeback fight is on the card, even if the New Zealander doubts he’ll ever secure another title shot.

“Do I have a title shot in mind for the future? No,” Adesanya said.

“After this fight [with Imavov], I’m just like, ‘You know what? I’m not expecting anything. I’m not expecting to be the champion again.’”
