Jake Paul has revealed that he almost secured a monster showdown with one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.
Since overcoming Mike Tyson, ‘The Problem Child’ has struggled to get his next contest over the line.
In news that left him heartbroken, Paul had a fight with Canelo Alvarez ripped from beneath his feet.
And now, to make matters even worse, he’s missed out on another opportunity to share the ring with a legendary champion.

Jake Paul was in negotiations to fight Gervonta Davis
Jake Paul claims he was on the cusp of securing a monstrous clash with WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis.
The major match-up would’ve been an intriguing one for the fans.
While ‘Tank’ is undeniably the more skilled operator, ‘The Problem Child’ would have had an astronomical weight and height advantage, which could’ve paid dividends on the night.
Regardless, for now, the fight is off, as Davis needs to restore his honor after his previous contest didn’t go as planned.
In an interview with IFL, Paul explained: “It was highly talked about and in negotiations and almost ready to make happen, but he has to do his rematch with Lamont Roach Jr and get that W and we’ll be able to run it back, but me and Gervonta were scheduled to fight for sure.”
Luckily, while the YouTuber won’t be taking on the two-weight King anytime soon, he’s adamant that something big is on the horizon.
The 28-year-old explained: “We do have an announcement next week, but I’m just not going to leak anything. We’ve had these fights pulled at the one-yard line, Canelo, Gervonta, I’m just not going to jinx it and say anything.”
Jake Paul gives an update on a potential fight with Anthony Joshua
In a bizarre turn of events, recently, Paul fired brutal shots at Anthony Joshua, claiming he could beat him in a fight.
While ‘AJ’ could’ve ignored the callout, by the sounds of it, the social media star has caught his attention.
According to Paul, the former heavyweight world champion is keen to settle their differences.
The Cleveland-born fighter said: “We’re going to plan that for 2026. He called me up and was like, ‘I saw you called me out, let’s run it, let’s make it happen’.”
