Jean Silva is hoping to continue his extremely impressive run in the UFC this Saturday when he takes on Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314.

Since making his appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023, Jean Silva immediately won over he UFC fanbase with his exciting fight style and eccentric personality.

The Brazilian then went on to begin his impressive run in the promotion, finishing all four of his first four opponents, earning him a fight against the ranked 13 featherweight, Bryce Mitchell.

Ahead of their fight at UFC 314 this coming Saturday, Mitchell and Silva have been involved in a big feud after Silva continuously barked at him during their pre-fight press conference.

Silva believes he will retire Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314

Fans then began to feel concerned after Mitchell claimed Silva cursed him during barking at him, claiming that he had sleepless nights and was visited by demons during his sleep.

Despite ‘Thugnasty’s’ claims, ‘Lord’ Silva believes that the reason for Mitchell’s bizarre ways of thinking have been caused by his terrifying knockout loss to Josh Emmett, in which he was left convulsing on the canvas.

“Everything was going good (in his career) until he got knocked out by Josh Emmett and I think that really messed up his brain and his emotions and everything just went wrong, you can tell he’s not looking at this the same way he used to look at it before,” Silva explained during the UFC 314 media day.

“You can tell it really messed him up, so the fights gonna go, he’s gonna try to take me down, I’m gonna defend it and I’m gonna throw some shots at his head. I might knock him out in the first or the second, we’ll see.

“But maybe he’ll need to retire after this because he’s gonna have some brain damage after this one,” Silva continued.

Jean Silva could enter the title conversation with a win at UFC 314

Not only is UFC 314 a big event for Silva but it is also a big fight for the future of the 145lb division, as Alexander Volkanovski takes on Diego Lopes for the vacant title.

Although Movsar Evloev is likely next in line to fight for the title, a win for the Fighting Nerd in Miami would likely put him near the top 10 of the division, which is crying out for new contenders.

With another extremely impressive win, the Brazilian contender’s stock would rise even further and it would put him in position to fight another big name on his way to what seems to be an impending shot at gold.
