Controversial combat sports star Dillon Danis responded to KSI’s potential retirement.

KSI might be done with boxing after detailing a recent conversation he had with Misfits Boxing co-president Mams Taylor. After withdrawing from his scheduled bout with controversial figure Dillon Danis, KSI has since declared he’s unsure if he’ll enter the ring again due to several ‘unlucky’ circumstances.

It didn’t take long for Danis to respond.

Danis and KSI were supposed to headline MF & DAZN X Series 21 on March 29th in Manchester. But a week before the event, KSI was forced off the card due to an illness, and Danis wasn’t rebooked with a new opponent.

Dillon Danis reignites feud with polarizing boxer after KSI’s retirement hints

After KSI’s emotional revelation about the state of his boxing career, Danis seized on the opportunity by declaring he’s ‘retired’ the influencer from combat sports.

In a pair of recent tweets, Danis reacted to KSI’s comments about potentially retiring from boxing.

“I’ve retired KSI without even throwing a punch,” Danis posted on X. “I’ve officially retired Logan Paul and KSI from boxing. I said from day one I’d be the one to put an end to all of this.

“Just one left…Jake Paul.”

As of this writing, KSI hasn’t responded to Danis’s latest taunts.

Danis hasn’t fought in boxing since a disqualification loss to Logan Paul in 2023. He’s scheduled to make his MMA comeback against former UFC titleholder Tony Ferguson at Global Fight League 2 on May 25th in Los Angeles.

Danis and the Paul brothers, including Jake, have had a public feud for years. The former Bellator prospect was sued by Logan’s wife, Nina Agdal, for continuously sharing photos of her on his personal social media accounts.

Danis accused Logan of thwarting a potential UFC signing due to Logan’s energy drink brand, PRIME, being the UFC’s official global sports drink partner. As of this writing, the UFC matchmakers haven’t confirmed nor denied potential interest in signing the polarizing Danis.

Dillon Danis calls out Jake Paul after KSI boxing match falls apart

Turning the page to a potential Danis vs. Jake Paul matchup, Paul remains without an opponent for his next boxing match, after a showdown with boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez was shut down in the final negotiating stages. Paul hasn’t fought since defeating heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson last year, and has teased a potential superfight against Anthony Joshua.

Paul is focused on promoting the upcoming Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano trilogy on July 11th. He’s also hinted at an MMA fight under the PFL banner, but his planned MMA debut has been repeatedly delayed by his various boxing fight pursuits.

A potential Danis vs. KSI matchup appears firmly on the shelf after KSI’s retirement teases and his recent withdrawal due to illness. But Danis could potentially find his way into another high-profile fight later this year if his upcoming Ferguson clash goes in his favor.
