Ronda Rousey continues to get fans excited about a potential return to MMA.

The UFC Hall of Famer retired following a 48-second loss to Amanda Nunes in December 2016.

Since then, ‘Rowdy’ has distanced herself from the sport and categorically ruled out a comeback.

A concussion issue ended Ronda Rousey‘s fight career early, but she continues to train hard at home.

Ronda Rousey shares new training footage

On Saturday, Rousey excited UFC and WWE fans by sharing new training footage on Instagram.

It showed her hitting a training dummy with nasty ground and pound elbows.

“Found my phone case during ground and pound drills, then smacked myself in the face with the dummy,” Rousey captioned the post. “Re-growing pains are real lol. I found my rhythm eventually though.”

In less than 24 hours, Rousey’s workout video has earned 32,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

Most them them are from MMA and pro wrestling fans who want to see her make a comeback.

“You are missed so much, you should come back to WWE now,” one person commented. While another added. “You could easily come back and beat Julianna [Pena] for the belt.”

“WWE return perhaps?” a third fan asked.

“That is a UFC comeback for the fam,” someone else said.

“The most dominant and best athlete back in training,” a fifth person rejoiced.

“We need her back in UFC,” this big Rousey fan insisted.

Ronda Rousey is ramping up her training

For much of 2025, Rousey has been documenting workouts as she looks to bounce back after recently giving birth to her second child.

It seems to be more about fitness than a comeback, but that hasn’t stopped some fans from getting carried away.

Rousey recently reunited with a UFC rival she tapped in 14 seconds, Cat Zingano, and gave fans a glimpse of the armbar submission that made her a superstar.

Since then, she’s shown off the judo ‘whip’ that helped her medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Rousey is likely to upload more training footage soon, but a return fight isn’t on the cards right now.
