Sean Brady has hit back at Belal Muhammad after the UFC champion accused him of ‘copying his homework’.

The Philadelphia native wrote his name among the top contenders at welterweight with a dominant submission win over Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC London. Fans were not impressed with his negative style, but it did result in the first finish loss of the ex-champion’s career.

After watching the fight, Muhammad quickly took to social media to take aim at both of his former opponents. He won his belt from Edwards last summer in Manchester, after landing the sole knockout of his career over Brady in October of 2022 which ended his undefeated run.

Sean Brady hits back at Belal Muhammad over UFC London critique

While watching the UFC London main event, Belal Muhammad had a lot to say about both men. He has fought and beat Leon Edwards and Sean Brady, but appears to think much more highly of the American than his British counterpart.

Writing on X, Muhammad did take a small jab at Brady, however, joking that “Sean copied my homework.” Brady hit back at the post-fight press conference, telling the media: “I think I did it a lot better than Belal did.

“I think Belal lost a couple of rounds, had his back taken for an entire round. Was it 3-2? I dominated Leon, won every round, nobody’s ever did it like me and then I submitted him and made him quit in front of his home town.

“If we were in Philly you ain’t making me quit in front of my home town I’m telling you that. I’m going to sleep, son. So just remember that.”

Belal Muhammad trolled Leon Edwards and Sean Brady over UFC London fight

Belal Muhammad was perhaps the most interested viewer of the UFC London main event, and he let his thoughts be known on social media. Both men are top contenders for his belt, which he defends for the first time against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315 this May.

He continuously trolled Edwards for his many iconic moments, jokingly tweeting “Headshot dead” after he was stopped. Muhammad also mocked his coach Dave Lovell’s famous speech, adding “Don’t let him bully you son,” and “Leon’s gonna need a big motivational speech this round.”

Muhammad’s win over Edwards has often been discredited due to the fact it took place during the early hours of the morning in Manchester to accommodate for American timezones. He mocked that theory as well, tweeting: “Leon’s still on 5 am time zone.”
