Patricio Pitbull is one of the UFC’s biggest signings in years and could be a big threat in the Featherweight division going forward.

While he has spent most of his career in Bellator, he could be a massive name in the UFC Featherweight division.

Patricio Pitbull is one of Bellator’s greatest fighters ever, simultaneously holding the world title belt in two weight classes and beating numerous top fighters.

Pitbull even knocked out Michael Chandler in 61 seconds, showing how ruthless he can be when he makes his debut in the UFC.

Patricio Pitbull’s next fight

Pitbull’s next fight will be his debut in the UFC as he takes on Yair Rodríguez at UFC 314.

The Brazilian left Bellator under a dark cloud, as Pitbull demanded his release when the company wouldn’t book him in any fights after the promotion was bought by the PFL.

Pitbull’s debut against Rodríguez will be his 43rd professional fight, so he has vast amounts of experience going into the bout.

It comes in the wake of Rodríguez’s recent defeats to Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega, so Pitbull will be feeling confident about his first-ever UFC fight.

Patricio Pitbull vs. Michael Chandler

In Bellator in 2019, Pitbull took on Chandler for the Bellator Lightweight title. This fight was worth more than the championship for the Brazilian, however, as the American had knocked out Pitbull’s brother in the Octagon just three year prior.

Months of bad blood led up to Bellator 221. It was one of the most anticipated fights in the promotion’s history, although it ended up lasting barely more than a minute.

Getting revenge for his brother, Pitbull’s right hand knocked Chandler to the mat after 61 seconds. The Brazilian mounted his opponent, raining down with some heavy hits that forced the referee to step in and declare the match in Pitbull’s favor.
